I Love to Read Week!
This week students need to read five days on their reading log in order to receive a certificate from the Premier of Manitoba. The certificate is awarded to students all over the province for participating in I Love to Read Month activities.
The bookworms that went home should be returned to school by Friday. Students should read at least five books this week and record them on the worm. If they are reading a chapter book then they can record that, as well as short children’s books that they also read.

Let’s hope the Groundhog was wrong about those six weeks of winter. The slowly rising temperature is definitely a nice change from the bitter cold January days. Thank you for your support and donations on Hats for Haiti day. The kids were very excited to share their hats with each other and support a good cause.
