Happy Easter!

Country Week

This week students will work through a number of stations to learn about Ethiopia.  Ethiopia was chosen as our country this year because our sponsor child, Rehimet, is from there, as well as some of our own students.  Students will learn about the geography, food, games, art, music and culture of Ethiopia as they travel from one classroom to another. 

Easter

This week we will be learning the stories of Holy Week and Easter.  May you and your family have a wonderful spring break and Easter celebration together!

Thank you to everyone making an extra effort to be at school on time.  Our morning routines are much easier to accomplish with everyone present and prepared for the day. 

Conferences

Please sign up for a conference.  I will be doing student led conferences again this term.  It is important to your child that you come and see what they have been working on this term.  If you require an alternate time please let me know and we will try to work something out.  Due to Mad Science Tuesdays conferences will be held in the Library.

This week students will bring home their report cards.  The results are AWESOME!  All students have shown considerable growth and development.  It is so exciting to see their reading and writing skills changing so quickly.

This week students will present their family tree projects to the class.  We will also be preparing for conferences.

I Love to Read Week! was awesome!  Thank you for participating in all the exciting events.  The students and teachers had a great time celebrating reading success together!

Family Tree Project

A family tree project has been assigned.  Most of the work will be completed at school.  Students will be collecting information for their projects.  They will bring home the necessary items.  Please ask them how their project is going.  Any unfinished portions will be sent home Thursday to be completed over the weekend.  Projects are due back at school on Monday.
