Happy Valentine’s Day!

100 Day!

This week Wednesday is the hundredth day of school!  That means that the activities for the day will be themed around number 100.  Each student is asked to bring in a collection of 100 objects.  They need to be of a reasonable size and sorted in some fashion (a poster, baggies, a book, small containers, etc.).  All students can already sort by 2s, 5s, and 10s.  I can’t wait to see their collections.

Spelling

Keep working on the challenge words.  This is in addition to the regular words for the week.

Grade 1: make, came, lake, game, shake, ate, tape, come

Grade 2: her, girl, turn, hurt, first, were, card, part, start, are

The challenge words are: heart, valentine, groundhog, shadow, February, hundred, love, card, candy, chocolate, flower

Field Trip

Thank you to the parents that drove for our field trip this morning.  The play was fantastic!
